I acquired this lovely set of vintage miniature wax dolls from Catherine MacLaren of the Nutshell News over 35 years ago, she had bought them on a trip she made to England years earlier. The set includes 4 dolls, a man 6” tall, a woman in a long floral dress 5 1/2” tall, a maid in a black dress with white apron and lace cap 5 1/2” tall, a nanny or nursemaid 5 1/2” tall in a light blue dress with white apron and long white cap. All 3 women have pantaloons and slips under their skirts. All 4 dolls have wax heads and hands, the man is missing his left hand at the wrist. The arms and legs appear to be fabric wrapped wire. All have hair. An attractive nice set of dolls.
