This same Althof Bergmann tin sleigh bed was shown in Flora Gill Jacobs last book “The Small World of Antique Doll’s Houses” on page 39, in the “Lift-Top Commode House” where she states that this bed “may be seen in the A B Catalog 1874”
This bed is the exact same bed as the brown grain painted bed in listing number 234, only this one is green. The measurements are same 7 3/4” long, 4 1/2” wide, 3 1/2” tall at the headboard.
The dark green paint is dull and has lots of wear and some light rust. All 5 of the slats that hold the mattress are there but 2 have come loose on one side. Includes a newer handmade cotton mattress.
